Phase Two: What’s New?
Phase two is the latest in a series of enhancements to our sophisticated Reports tool, that ensures Ace Media continues to be one of the most reliable and accurate where it comes to measurement data.
Our new hybrid data solution delivers a combination of both accurate and estimated web traffic data. The accurate data has been gathered through a combination of methods:
website publisher
audit services
a direct connection with the publishers Google Analytics
For our web traffic data estimates, we’ve teamed with Semrush who are widely considered best-in-class where it comes to global web traffic intelligence.
]]>We’re excited to introduce two NEW preconfigured metrics:
Market = The market most likely to read/view the media
Scope = The extent of area covered by the media editorially
These new insights will be responsible for categorising media coverage in the following ways:
Market | Scope |
---|---|
Consumer | Local |
Business | Regional |
National | |
International |
Both insights will display on the report Analysis as donut charts in the user’s customised font style and accent colour.
To improve report consistency and increase automation, Ace Media has enhanced its database capabilities. Whenever an offline media outlet is uploaded to a report, we will automatically assign the appropriate media type, market and scope.
When a URL is uploaded to a report, a user may configure these metrics manually. This contributes to Ace Media’s community data, which remains accessible for future uploads; increasing automation and reducing repetition.
]]>We’re delighted to introduce smart media classification, which offers a more robust and streamlined approach to handling multiple media types and measurement metrics.
Smart media classification automates, refines and enhances the classification and categorisation of media, helping users create reports with greater speed and efficiency, whilst consistently delivering clean data!
The newly refined categorisation and classification of media looks as follows:
Offline | Online | Broadcast |
---|---|---|
Newspaper | News & Media | Radio station |
Magazine | Guide/Directory | Radio programme |
Supplement | Blog | Television station |
Directory | Newsletter | Television programme |
White paper | Digital publication | Podcast |
Book | Newswire | |
Booklet | Other | |
Other |
Whenever a URL is uploaded from a recognised newsletter, digital publication, or podcast host, Ace Media will automatically classify the media type.
Improved data handling for these platforms also helps prevent the display of inaccurate data, whilst ensuring the correct unit of measurement is accessible to the user.
]]>Due to a lack of contact and information from Twitter, we have been unable to determine the best route forward.
As a result, Ace Media will be unable to deliver reader engagement data for online coverage uploads and tweets, for the foreseeable future.
Further updates will be posted as and when we have more news.
]]>In order to minimise disruption accessing and responding to collaboration requests, we have made the decision to temporarily disable the requirement to link Google Analytics to Pitch Pack. As a result of this action, any pre-existing performance stats will no longer update.
We shall review this once Google has sunset Universal Analytics on 1 July ‘23.
]]>As a result, Ace Media will be unable to deliver reader engagement data for online coverage uploads and tweets, for the foreseeable future.
We are keen to minimise disruption for our users and are actively pursuing alternative options.
Further updates will be posted as and when we have more news.
]]>To ensure that Ace Media continues to deliver the most reliable data in the market we serve, we’ve taken measures that will enable us to deliver a unique hybrid data solution. This new approach means that users will benefit from a combination of both accurate and estimated web traffic data; ensuring that the data displayed is both dependable and authentic.
